Why wear silver?

Posted by Marcos Mar at

Sterling silver jewelry is a great choice for anyone that appreciates owning the 'real thing,' but also likes to change it up, picking the perfect necklace or earrings from their collection for a particular outfit or event.

Silver is a precious metal that holds its value and can appreciate over time. Sterling silver contains 92.5% fine silver and 7.5% copper or other metals, resulting in a stronger alloy that resists scratching and bending. This makes it perfect for jewelry.  With care and occasional polishing, your silver jewelry will last forever!

Fun fact:

Did you know that back when U.S. dollar coins, quarters and dimes were made of silver, they contained 90% silver and 10% copper? That made them even more resistant to scratching than sterling. Some antique flatware was made from coin silver, since the silversmiths sometimes melted coins to make tableware.
